Ben Haines, White 2021

Ben Haines is one of Australia's real hidden gems. Calling the Yarra Valley of Victoria, Australia, home; he started out as a vineyard worker and has now risen to become head winemaker of his own label. He dedicates himself to finding the best cool-climate vineyards in the region, preserving the nuances of their character and articulating his impression through the aroma, flavour and texture of his amazing wines. White 2021 is a vibrant blend of Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier. Aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, and citrus blossom leap from the glass. The palate is textured and fresh, revealing notes of stone fruit, lemon curd, and a touch of almond. A beautifully balanced, complex white with a lingering finish. Super food friendly, but best with scallops or roast chicken.
